Creative & Simply Cards

You have to make one of these cards. I just love it. Quick and Simple.
Andrea Walford had a card similar to this one on her blog a few weeks ago.
I thought it was a great idea since I have tons of DSP scraps. Here are a few pictures of the cards I made using the same idea.

The cards are the usual 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
The base of the card is embossed with the Stampin Up Texture Plates and the edge of the card has been punched with the scallop edge punch.
Another piece of coordinating cardstock cut to 41/4 x 51/2 has been adhered to the back of the front card (does that make sense).
Strips of DSP adhered to the front of the card as well as ribbon.
Finally, embellish with a greeting.
How easy it that.
Make one of these cards and send me a picture of it. I will feature your card on my blog.

Just a reminder. Don't miss out on the Deal of the Week. This is a great time to purchase the Heart to Heart Punch for a great price.

Blender Pen Refill Recipe

I am sure most of you already know this but I thought I would post it for those of you who don't know or forgot.
1 oz. glycerin
2 oz. distilled water
3/4 teaspoon rubbing alcohol
OR
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons glycerin
5 tablespoons water1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol
Step 1: Make one of the two recipes above. A little goes a very long way.
Step 2:Gently pull the tips out of the pen (both ends). Some people use tweezers. I have no problem just grabbing it with my fingers. If you do use tweezers, be very careful. You don't want to mar the tip.
Step 3:Soak the tips in the fluid (step 1). Some say to soak them overnight, others say for a few hours. It may depend on how dry they are.
Step 4:Gently (always gently with these tips) push one tip back into the marker. Now place a few drops of the fluid into the pen. You have to be very careful here as the marker is so narrow, large drops won't make it in. You need to use an eye-dropper or something similiar to get the drops in.
Step 5:Gently put the other tip back in and you're read to go.

Pop Up Wedding Cake !!!!

Sorry I have been missing in action for awhile. I started a new job and helped my sister move very very very very far away from me. "a whole 2 hours" This is way to far.

Well anyway I thought I would take a break from the punch book and show you what I made with the Big Shot Pop Up Cake Die. The picture really does not do it justice it is a little hard to see the embossing and glitter. I think I might add a few butterflies to it also.
I will be holding a Big Shot class at the end of July or the first part of August. I will post more information shortly.
Let me know if you have any questions.
P.S. Don't miss out on the "Deal of the week"
